Well, this episode made me hate Sarah again… and just when I was starting to warm up to her. She just lost Charley, so you’d think it might occur to her that maybe she should be nicer to Derek, or at least civil, in case the same happens to him. But no, she’s just too hard, too much of a paranoid freak to show any softness, and the same does happen to Derek. (If I hadn’t already seen the finale, this abrupt killing of Derek after a full season of non-development would have certainly softened the blow of impending cancellation.)
John Henry’s friendship with Savannah was disturbingly adorable: IMing her in class, calling her at home for a friendly chat, trying to save her life. Awww! I thought it was intriguing that John Henry seemed to have picked up enough about emotions and kids to tell Savannah that the T was a “water delivery man” and not “a cybernetic organism with intentions to hurt you.” Then again, maybe John Henry hadn’t figured out the cybernetic organism part himself at that point. More importantly, if a T was sent to kill Savannah, why?
