I wasn’t surprised by Joe McCoy’s abusive blowup at JD, but it seemed like Katie and JD were. Which is odd considering that they both, y’know, live with the guy and I just watch his character on TV. I’m curious as to why Joe is exploding now—is JD at the age where Joe fubar-ed his own life, and he thinks he sees JD making all the same mistakes?
My ability to determine age by looking isn’t that great, but JD’s girlfriend Madison looks about 25 to Jeremy Sumpter’s very youthful 20 (19 when this was filmed, I believe). It bugged me so much that I looked it up, and the actress isn’t even a full two years older than him. Like I said, I suck at telling age.
Lyla being a bitch to Tim when he was bending over backwards to help her and be a good boyfriend probably doesn’t endear her to many viewers, especially given her many recent judgmental shit fits. And what was Tim saying about Lyla having history class? I’ve seen no indication that she’s in school, whether high school or community college—for some reason, I’ve been assuming she already graduated and was just taking some time off before college to hang out with Tim and her dad. Then again, the school stuff this season centered around Tami as principal rather than around the kids as students (college concerns aside), so I guess it’s not a stretch for Lyla to be a student.
Mindy’s trashy tea party bridal shower was absolutely perfect for her character.
Also, I keep forgetting to mention that the new sound of Crucifictorious is much preferable to their former screamo sound (or whatever it was).
