I’m not a big fan of the Virginia Woolf novel that this episode is probably named after, but I guess I can see the thematic similarity in that this episode, like the novel, deals heavily with lack of communication.
It’s interesting that John Henry could choose to change the rules for Savannah, especially since his basis, The Turk, was once the foundation of Skynet, which created the Ts in the first place.
The events with Derek and Cameron were interesting, as well. I’m surprised he was able to tell her she “did the right thing,” and the look on his face when she pulled off that blindfold was almost… affectionate?
It was sad to see Charley go, and oddly enough, he and Sarah’s chemistry in this episode was more palpable than ever before. The scene where she forced him to feel her breast tumor was so gripping that I think I held my breath—even the lack of music upped the poignancy.
Sarah may have been right that John needed more human interaction, especially after what Jessie did to Riley, but her to decision to bring John to Charlie still cost the guy his life. You are the harbinger of death, Sarah Connor.
