First off, I could swear that I read that this was supposed to be Charlie’s last episode, but I guess not. He better actually get a send-off, because if he just unceremoniously disappears, I will stop watching the show. Not because I can’t bear to watch without him, but because that’s not quality show-running.

The first scene with Megan and Lily made absolutely no sense. If Shelby’s phone number was disconnected, why couldn’t Megan just give it to Lily anyway so she could see for herself? Or even dial it for her right there and hand her the phone!

I did love that Marco immediately hurried over to Megan’s room to tell her that Laurel was backing his restaurant. And then they squealed and jumped up and down! Are they total BFF’s now or what?

Marco was also completely right that Megan’s family drama would still be there in the morning. Yes, you should care about your family and try to meet their needs, but you should also be able to live your own life. Megan really needs to take a step back from the family situation and put herself first. Which sounds odd coming from me, since my biggest problem with her is that she puts herself first with everyone else but her family. Still, unless Lily or her father has a gun to her/his head, she should be able to have dinner with Will’s parents and deal with the family drama in the morning.

As for Will and Meg and their I love you’s, snore. They got together too quickly and without even resolving the Lilly issue, so I’ve never been invested in their relationship because I didn’t feel that it was written believably.

And hey, I actually didn’t mind Lily too much in this episode. I related to her need to talk to her mother, and the sweet, childlike way that she said, “She’s so pretty” broke my heart a little. Little girls always think their mothers are beautiful.
