If Simon Campos invented the laser in 1992, but the photo was from 1991, perhaps this is evidence of an earlier, more contained blackout/flash-forward incident that led to someone (D. Gibbons?) stealing Simon’s idea? Or Campos is lying to make the FBI consider that possibility, but I’m not coming up with any theories on why he might do that.
As for the serial number on Mark’s gun, a) just because Demitri was shot with Mark’s gun doesn’t mean Mark pulled the trigger, and b) we don’t know how Persian Eartha Kitt got the serial number of why she’s convinced that Mark did it (and her connection to D. Gibbons complicates matters even further). For all we know, Mark is being framed. And if Mark killed Dem, and the information is public enough for Persian Eartha Kitt to get it off some list of dead agents, why is Mark allowed to be in the FBI Headquarters in his flash-forward? Unless Dem betrays the FBI and Mark kills him as a “bad guy.”
I understand that Mark attacked Persian Eartha Kitt so that he would be suspended and have his gun taken away, thus getting that gun out of his own possession and perhaps salvaging Dem’s trust in him. But now that the gun has left Mark’s hands, it could end up anywhere.
Other Stuff
-I can’t say I disagree with Simon’s dressing down of Lloyd regarding the lack of empirical evidence that they caused the blackout.
-LOL at the cable news program about Simcoe and Campos being possibly the worst mass murderers in history. Manslaughter, maybe, but not murder.
-Also LOL at Simon being able to tell that the satellite photos were from Somalia from analyzing the landscape—he’s a physicist, not a geologist.
-My theory about Zoey’s flash-forward showing her Dem’s funeral was right!
-Olivia and Lloyd have lovely chemistry, and he’s such a warm, sweet, honest man compared to pissy-pants Mark. I can’t help but root for them.
